The 8th-10th of June the Main Planning Conference in preparation of civil, military, police exercise VIKING 11 was conducted at the Command and Control Regiment in Enköping. The conference was co-chaired by the Folke Bernadotte Academy and the Swedish Armed Forces and gathered more than 140 representatives of civilian, military and police organisations and agencies from around the world.

The conference played the important role of providing an opportunity for the participants to contribute to the planning process. During the conference the scenario and guiding documents for the exercise was reviewed, the participation of nations and organisations confirmed and the preparatory training for the exercise presented.

The computer assisted distributed command post exercise VIKING 11 will take place in April 2011 mainly based in Sweden with distributed sites in a number of countries from USA in the West to Kazakhstan in the East.
