Course on the Common Security and Defence Policy for Eastern Partners

The course was held in Warsaw and is the result of a joint collaboration between Sweden and Poland.

On the 8 October, 2012 the Strategic Course on the the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) for Eastern Partners started in Warsaw, Poland. The five-day course module is the result of a joint collaboration between Sweden and Poland and will continue with a second module in Brussels, Belgium in the beginning of November 2012.

Enhance closer cooperation

The aim of the course is to enhance closer cooperation between the Eastern Partnership countries and EU on the CSDP. This week’s module is conducted at the Polish School of Public Administration in Warsaw. The course was opened by Ambassador Staffan Herrström as a representative of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Polish Undersecretary of State Boguslaw Winid.

Following the inauguration of the Eastern Partnership in 2009, the Folke Bernadotte Academy is playing a major role in the organisation of the two modules, bringing together 24 high ranking officials from Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
